Being such an active guy requires that I fuel my body the right way. I need energy for all those hikes up the halfpipe, and feeding my body the nutrition it needs not only gets me to the top, but helps me boost out of the pipe!
Being on the road half the year makes it hard to find healthy food on the run. Fat, salt, and sugar have been added to almost every package on the shelf at the grocery store and fast food has processed foods that could pretty much give anyone an instant heart attack.
I know we all heard it growing up: "Eat more fruits and vegetables." But now medical science is claiming it too. But knowing its easy, its doing it that's hard.
People often turn to vitamins and other nutritional supplements to improve their diets. Unfortunately, vitamins alone can't begin to replicate the thousands of different nutrients found in fresh fruits and vegetables. I believe that Americans don't suffer from a vitamin deficiency; but that we suffer from a whole food deficiency. This deficiency is a reason for so many of the diseases and health issues we are dealing with today.
