 So another update from Finch from the Sylewars event in Fallscreek, Australia. Yesterday was the first day of Stylewars unofficially because boys rocked up a day early. Rumors of a 140 foot jump where in the air. We rolled up to find a massive cheese wedge (6.3meters tall) with a whole lot of deck. 37 meters of deck (121 feet) and a steep bumpy ungroomed run in. Crew were checking there speed pointing it at the massive cheese wedge. I took a couple speed runs too, but on my third one about halfway down, I decided I was just going to hit it. Cleared it by a bit, but was a little back seat, but now I felt I had the speed dialed. I went back to the top to do a frontside 3 over it.Right before the lip I sunk in the slush, bounced off the lip, and flew halfway across the deck landing on my back, but was fine. They salted it and I went back up for more after almost everyone had left.
Cleared it again with a straight air this time landing it. Then I hit it two more times doing a backside 180 both times. My last jump was my biggest. It was measured at exactly 50 meters (164 feet) Here is the photo of it. The photographer released this photo to me only for this update. I think two frames later will be the shot as I will be more at the apex of the jump. You kind of have to look hard for the knuckle, but I went 43 feet past it.
